Super Group is the ultimate heavy metal experiment. Though Ozzfest may prosper and Crue shows sell out, the rest of the metal world is suffering, aimless and quiet – its thunder stolen by crunk, pop-punk, and indie rock. Almost all of the iconic metal bands that once walked the earth, thrashing a trail of carnage and excess, are no more, and the metal community is desperately searching for new Gods to worship. Into that void comes VH1’s Super Group, a chance for the metal community to re-conquer the world (and hopefully spread a little debauchery and black leather in the process). This new reality show will bring together five metal icons and present them with the opportunity and resources to create the heaviest, most hard-rocking Super Group in the history of all recorded music. Watch as they unite to become metal saviors or implode into bickering primadonnas over two weeks on the Strip.
